Closely located near the Dang bamboo forest, the site had no proper demarcation. The government officer and a native from the area, wanted to build a home for his parents. Vernacular architecture was required to fulfil the need of local resident. Lifestyle of the end user forced us to give them spaces which are more connected with the outside without any barriers. Significant Veranda and long passage depicts the use of semi open spaces to let the natural light and wind pass. Courtyard is connected with many functions and that lets it become the core of house. Easily available material such as Bamboo is used innovatively for the opening shutters. The roof complements the vernacular look of the home, which also gives protection from heavy rain fall. Each space is organised such way that each space has a connection with surrounding nature. That serves the purpose of dwelling with nature.
